I think one problem might be that Miko wants Hinako to care. Not being worried that her best friend was a monster that brutally mauled humans to death would suggest that her suicidal thoughts are so strong they're overwhelming her sense of morality. Hence Miko is now in a Scylla and Charibdis situation where, if her past is revealed, Hinako would either have to abandon her or abandon humanity. At least this would be the problem as Miko perceived it.

That makes sense. Like if Hinako shows that she cared and was scared, maybe it would prove to Miko that Hinako doesn’t want to die, which is what Miko wants in the end. Same as Shioriko. But if she’s so lackadaisical about it then Miko might think Hinako isn’t being genuine about wanting to live.

Shiori is such a mood. I love how she's so expressive without saying anything. Like that "bitch, I don't share my food with friends of that flee infested fox" was so loud I was surprised a speech 💬 didn't will itself into the page 🤣.

But I still stand by what I said. If Miko doesn't deal with her "acquittance", Shiori will gladly resolves that problem because, let's be honest, Hinako is already involved and Shiori isn't gonna share Hinako with another troublemaker 😤

I'm sure Hinako will still accept Miko as her best friend, even after hearing the fact about Miko's backstory as a cold blooded monster. because what's matter is Miko right now, not what Miko was back then. it's the same with Shiori who was a human chomping monster before meeting Hinako.
