I have to guess that you're trying to say something about not wanting to walk Amano home due to privacy concerns. Then the editor could do literally the exact same thing that Kuga did, split up after a certain point. Literally all of your reasons apply to her.

no, usually it was the author pick up the place to meet for their own privacy reason. and amano+kuga is spilt up since beginning, avoiding someone is rude, so there is no reason to separate with kuga+amano group early on since literally, they have different direction. otherwise, amano would have to come to publisher, which is impossible for kuga to be there.

Are you beyond belief stupid? Yeah, no shit Amano pointed out that she knows Kuga. However, they still didn't actually interact with him until Amano woke him up. That's literally what happened. Amano literally said "It's fine. Don't worry about it." when the editor asked if Amano wanted to say hi. Amano turned down the idea of interacting with Kuga!

Are you really blind to what happened? Amano was having a business conversation with the editor, and Amano wanted to continue the business conversation instead of meeting with Kuga.

yeah, because you keep neglecting the context here. amano is planning to walking home alone, but it would be "dangerous and unsave" for woman at her age to walking home alone. hence the editor suggestion, however amano misunderstood that she will consort kuga, not the reverse, however the idea of walking home together it self is not strange idea for amano.

again, for author who is not come directly into publisher company, it usually editor who come into the place author asked to. there is section on publisher company where editor could meet author, but since it was on family restaurant where there is also kuga, it should be near their neighborhood.

also again, amano never feel forced with idea of walking home with kuga, she even willing to escort kuga back home, tho not her own. it's just what's the common there.

You're bullshit. The editor did not "pick up the ball". The editor YELLED at Amano that Kuga should walk her home. The editor REFUSED TO LISTEN when Amano said she would be fine on her own. The editor YELLED that Kuga was the one walker Amano home, not the other way around.
