The manga artist started to embrace the gooner side of him. Look at how many leg and ass shots he starts including before the hiatus lol. I'm all for it. Hope it resumes sometime before the end of next year with the same artist.

A very decent series. You can tell the author is trying to make a good story and create tension. The problem, though, is the tension feels fake and unnatural. Because of the existence of the other players and the MC's strength, his goal of "not changing the story" has basically become moot.

You say that but there are plenty of comments explaining exactly why his reasoning makes no sense.

- In the first place, a reason was never given for why the story needs to progress exactly like it was in the game, there's no event mentioned where the main character needed to be the hero to save the world or anything like that. And even if that were the case and the main character's growth was something that was so dire for him to be concerned about, all he has to do is help the main character to grow, but he doesn't.

- Even if he did have unexplained but legitimate reasons that the story needs to progress exactly like the original, it's all been made meaningless from pretty much the start. He himself has already caused a lot of divergence from the original plot just by his very presence, not to mention all of his seemingly "subtle" actions that have caused so many influential people to start paying attention to and interacting with him. So he himself has already invalidated all his efforts but on top of that, there are very clearly other irregulars in the world who have already messed things up with their own influences, and that's not something he'd be able to control no matter what he does, unless he's ready to actually start killing people, which he very obviously is not going to do.

At this point it's already clear that any efforts he makes to make sure the original story plays out as intended are already meaningless and have been without purpose from the start. Unless I'm forgetting some reason that he actually explained for why he really needs the story to play out, to which, feel free to enlighten me if that's the case.
That being said, the crux of the matter is that all these factors have resulted in a story that's very frustrating and not very enjoyable. What the audience generally want to read is the main character's story, even if it's a story about said main character doing things from the shadows, that is often enjoyable in it's own ways. But this manga is neither, the main character constantly forces himself out of the picture while simultaneously refusing to have any influence in the other main characters' stories. By making the entire aim of the manga the mere preservation of some random storyline that none of us as readers are privy to, it basically amounts to a manga where we read about a main character just watching the story of some made up game play out without actually doing anything relevant himself. None of the game's original characters are interesting enough to make us as readers actually care about whatever predetermined plot they live their lives through while the actual main character of this manga is acting as nothing but a plank that's just there to make sure that this boring game stays boring and uneventful.

So what exactly are we as readers meant to enjoy about this manga? It's practically the same as watching some brainrot "irl" streamer sit in a chair and eat while watching other people's Youtube videos and calling it "content".

but in novel at least from my interpretation. MC idea to keep OG plot going. seem to sterm less from his personal wish and more he didn't have much choice.

like last arc in novel. instead of a small incident follow OG plot, it become full blown brawl instad, full of end game people that can kill MC easily.
so for me it look less of a "keep OG plot cause it the best way" and more "keep OG plot cause i can't deal with all this shit and there is no better plan"

you don't, Novel is already a slow slop story. Manga just up the ragebait while keep the same if not worst MC passiveness.
Even I, barely enjoy novel. Manga just keep showing and expand the misery part non-stop.

Like there is no adventure dude who got his friend kill by asshole in the novel.
there is no MC sister just randomly loss for some reason so the OG hero team, which at this point is and should be weak and got stomp, manage to somehow rescure her.
In novel, sister just beat everyone up.
At least novel just focus on MC doing interesting stuff like explain the detail of dungeon expedition and logistic of it, how people in this dunegeon world live.
In manga it just 3 chapter of teen getting abuse.
then cut to MC doing nothing, cause in novel it him doing boring day to day task and explain the impotant of it.

Fucking read RAW and current arc, they have the OG hero friend group break into student concil arena for some fucking reason.
plot didn't change cause obviously, they just appear for no reason at all and beat up the suppose group of eilite student. despite you know, they getting beat up every chapter before.
All of this just so they can pose and gone from plot.
like for fuck sake if they gonna change the plot. just have OG hero help MC fight. why the hell you drag them in to make MC look weak just to have MC beat antag ass like in novel ALONE.

It feel fake cause it is, most if not all tension is just Manga original. and Manga didn't change pacing and plot to accomodate any of it change.
Novel is just MC power-level slow life. there is no inbetween seeing student getting abuse nonstope 3 chapter for 1 chapter of MC doing jack shit.

I think the ch90 is the last one, there's no date on next chapter and "please continue to support title/mangaka" bs;

it has nice basis, but the blueballing was tedious af and mc was way too passive in pretty much anything.

Can't say I will miss it.

The story just... sucks. There's no clear direction and they focused on too many useless characters, leaving the mc barely developed. The conflict feels pointless and plot point are constantly glossed over like the whole marriage contract thing and the "True" mc's presence is almost nonexistent. It just feels like the author doesn't even know what he's writing but keeps doing it just to keep the story going
