I really like how he still sees that hero dude as his good friend and wants to confront him with all his might in more of a competitive way than actually wanting to destroy his friend out of hatred or something (at least for now, who knows what'll happen in the future)

Thanks for bringing this back! Saw the light novel on a website and read the manga before starting it, and it's got me hooked.

Thanks for the translation, I think this one is kinda unique I've only read one that I recall that's similar in ways; so it's pretty refreshing to read.

Damn every time a new chapter is here I think the same. "Wtf is with that title".

The story so far is cool, but it seems a bit slow. With the rather slow release it's killing me.

But I wonder, since he's so "powerful", did he never use his full power to keep the flashiness of the other members? If he had another reason to keep his power a secret, why is it fine to use it fully now?

And I hope the others will have a harder time now fighting, after having kicked him out of the party.

@yukinomi His friend always stayed by his side and I don't think this will change. I hope this turns/stays more a friendly rivalry. Maybe he will realize it's his friend who took the demons side at some point.

@bakauguu He was already powerful it's just that since his abilities are all debuffs and don't do real direct damage, it was difficult for anyone to see their effects. And he's been doing it so long that his former Hero party thought they were whomping the bosses they were fighting due to their own strength and not due to the fact that his debuffs were making their damage go up. So, he's been using his full power the whole time--it's just that people aren't observant enough to realize it. In games we all have meters and things to see, but if it was real life without meters, a lot of us would probably have a hard time seeing the effects of debuffs.

From the cover I knew the loli would join MC, but I wasn't expecting it to go like that.

@APersonOnAComp MC is also probably OP as hell. The MC is using magic 24/7 for training. He's debuffing himself with everything so expect carnage when he removes all the selfdebuffs.

I want to see Phoenix's team getting curbstomped. He's a nice enough guy but the rest of them suck

@APersonOnAComp makes sense. But they still were ranked around 6 or so? Well style etc. was what ranked them. Has been so long ago I don't remember how it was. Rank = strength or Rank = Viewers.

I guess Demon side which defends(?) will get a different view. No one shall pass! >:D

I...don't see a reason for MC to hate Pheonix so much? Like, he's the only one who's stayed beside him and even ran after him?? MC is in the wrong here?

You somehow missed something really important....
MC doesn't hate Phoenix, not once has he said or shown that. He's rivals with him now, but not because any beef with Phoenix but because of the other party members. Phoenix knows his true worth but because of their promise.....neither MC or Phoenix can tell anyone which is why the party doesn't realized MC was the biggest reason why they are rank 4.

Phoenix tried to stop MC from quitting because of this, MC wishes to show his former party members his worth, Phoenix is the leader of that party......so that makes him a rival he has to defeat. Nothing more or less. Think of it as two best friends who are on different sport teams.

So basically Mira true agenda was to make a secret fan club, huh? 😂

While it's true because it's released monthly, most readers almost lost the suspense of emotional event. So far, I like the stories.
