Shion's mother is a riot. She's the no-nonsense, no-filter type, straight to the point. I have a couple of aunts from both sides who are just like that. She's also the first seemingly good mother in this story. Her family seems great. Shion is definitely a keeper for Kai as long as we don't get any crazy reveals from her side.
This is a glimpse of what could be a good ending for him if he ends up with her; but it's also painful to see as a reader that this can still very well blow up because of the fact that Kai is already technically two-timing her...
On a side note, if Tetsuji-sensei is a self-reference, then that makes me wonder... did Tetsukazu-sensei just turn their own editor into a character in this manga...?
