Look, I understand "yanderes are evil, they deserve hell haha" but... at this point is pretty obvious that this story isn't about the common yandere troupe, this is about children needing help.

Akira did some very condemnable things, but they weren't the most terrible examples of that and she is even close to being the root of evil in this story.

This won't be a pretty journey, I don't doubt Akira is very unstable and could do something terrible still... but she needs help, and sometimes a sincere and persistent hand is what is needed.

So let's just wait and see where this goes, and easy on the hate throttle a little, for now at least.

Can't say I don't see what you are seeing, but SD had a very clear and specific downward spiral of egoism and loathing, this one.. not so much.

Akira showed loathing sure, but it is mostly turned to herself, without a healthy example of love she was still using her mother's a guide, and she is more direct to the road of self-harm than outward violence.

I won't deny the possibility that she could become violent to others and herself, but she deserves a chance to heal.

Like many already mentioned — as good as it is that Yuuto stepped up to save her, expecting an actual romance from this extremely toxic mess won’t do either of them any good. I know people say this partially in jest but what she needs is THERAPY (and maybe being taken away from her mother)

So far only 1 manga I’ve read ever bothered thinking of therapy and that is the Ethics manga. I know Japan especially has stigmas with mental health but that is true to a degree everywhere, that doesn’t stop psychologists from existing. Considering how grounded the approach to the older brother was, I’m slightly hoping they’ll take the more mature route instead of making this story about “I can fix her”
