I remember writing a book report on that back in grade school. The local priest explained it to me which I simply wrote down verbatim and said that outloud to a class of super opmistic kids with their own positive impressions of the story. I remember one of the teachers just decided the window was more interesting while my teacher was all revoluted and horrified. The kid that came after me remarked that's exactly what his grandma said and was so hoping he would be the one to reveal that. Everyone else had stuff like it's an inspiring tale of positive thinking or some crap.
