Whats with all these authors doing mental gymnastics to justify their rape fantasies?

You know, like Re:Monster, the slavermancer one and the sexual lunatic isekai one.

Its like...why bother? Its so pathetic. "Oh, its not rape even though i mind controlled/drugged them, because they secretly wanted it all along!". It just makes me facepalm and laugh. If you want to put your rape fantasy into a manga, sure, go ahead, but doing all these mental gymnastics to come up with lame excuses is just so pathetic. Its like coming up with "oh the world is DESIGNED so that i have no choice but to become a prostitute!" as an excuse.

An example of it done right is that manga where some mage found a mana vein, created a dungeon then started invading the nearby kingdom. Theres rape, but theres no lame excuses, no "oh they secretly wanted it so its okay!". Its clear that the MC is a villain and doesnt mind using rape if it will help him achieve his goals.

Alright, just so you know, most people haven't actually read this Re:monster manga you are talking about. I was confused as to what you were talking about until I got lazy and decided to use the internet to do my work for me again.

In chapters 15-17 (Rapeman scans left) and Chapter 28 (Jamin box left, no one reuploaded) in Remonster they take prisoners and then the MC gives them drugs to make the War Prisoners want to have sex right?

I would appreciate it next time if YOU posted what chapter or material you were talking about next time to not be so confusing.

Okay, just going to clarify and point out that in the world of writing, plot, character development and cohesion, FANTASY does not mean loopholes are now somehow credible and acceptable . The people who have created fantastical masterpieces did not get where they are by writing plots with holes in it. The best fantasies are ones where their world is so stitched together, so carefully drawn out and creative, that the audience could BELIEVE that it is real. So no, "flimsy justification" does not make fantasy. It doesn't make any genre, in fact. It merely makes flimsy writing. Of course, there will still be people out there who will eat it up, because their concern isn't so much how credible and well thought-out the world is as it is about the FEELING it gives them. In this case, porn insinuates a pretty strong feeling that some people will defend with all their might, their profane vocabularies and defenses, because if anyone were to point out that the story really is just one big excuse to draw the author's kinks, it wouldn't sound quite as appealing (and even less, humane), would it?

I think that's probably the point... Don't take your Mongolian cave paintings so seriously!

@Question2 That type of manga you're referring to probably has a small target demographic. A demographic that likely doesn't really care about whether the excuse for the rape fantasy stuff is flimsy or not. At the end of the day, it's fetish (borderline) hentai, and hentai/porn don't really need a well thought out plot. The "excuses" are just something put there, to hold the story together. Like, @Holo said, they're not meant to be taken too seriously. If you really don't like them, then don't read them.

I think a lot of people are missing the point. I have no problems with them putting their rape fantasies into their manga...just go ahead and do it. Its when they come up with these lame excuses to justify the rape that makes me facepalm. Its rape, there is no need to justify it, just admit your character wanted to rape them, instead of coming up with flimsy "they secretly wanted it all along so its not rape even if i mind control them!" excuses.

implying that the social order of 99% of all history, let alone a Medieval/fantasy type setting hasn't been like that most of the time for the lower class? (Hell even today it happens all the time) Or that the expectation of women thru-out history has been to do whatever a man tells them?

Edit: BTW

did you ever read that manga? Doubt so because there's not a single girl that was "simple raped". There's always mental gymnastics like "if you don't ... your friends will die" or hypnosis or something else.
