Ooh, this will be quite the test for Jeanette's character. Until now, she's acted based on others' explanations of things that have supposedly happened (Claude being her father, her having a family with him etc).
But now with evil guy's manipulation is trying to get her to seek the throne. Even she must know the implications of actually wanting it. On the bright side, thus far she's only been wondering what would prompt him to speak that way (and getting frustratingly close to an answer) instead of how being on the throne would bring her "love". I hope it stays that way, and that at a crucial moment she puts her foot down instead of being a puppet. She'll need that too, for the onslaught of guilt that'll happen when she realises how she's been used so far to cause the King and Athy so much pain/grief.
