i would disagree. key words spoken by quifrey before he erased Orugio's memories is that Orugio is amazing at seeing through lies but is a bad liar. this means He is a liability if let into the secrets Quifrey holds because if Orugio is questioned he will easily be found out because he is a bad liar. by all means i think Quifrey really isn't a bad person. norI call it:Qifrey is going to be this series main antagonist.
reason why there are so many isekai is because people in japan are DESPERATE for escapism they really want to immerse themselves in the fantasy of leaving their rotten lives behind and start anew with clean slate with everything they desire but do not have. it doesn't mater how crappy it is. notice how often its either a shut-in or a overworked office worker that is the one that gets isekaied. they don't care its shallow because they aren't looking to read a story they are looking to escape their life.@thedestroyership probably helps a lot by not being generic isekai story #191031923 that there are so many of these days. It's refreshing to find any relatively new series that isn't an isekai, really wish Japan would just drop that genre already because no one knows how to write a compelling story or good characters for them. For whatever reason they just can't do deep, solid character development like this. Instead it's just constantly OP cardboard MC with Harem and boring no tension stories with the occasional awful side of slavery and rape. Let isekai die already.
