I think Makiba being something of a ladykiller is canon. Tai and Oshimi are the "weird" ones in their dislike of him

Seems to be an arm lock, but the artist drew the proportions wrong.

This example is what it's supposed to be:

It would have been easier to understand, if the author had drawn the other arm instead. Or at least have a bit of a distance between Oogami's arm and her body. Or change the angle of the arm a bit... There are a lot of ways it could have been done in a way that makes it seem more like an arm lock and less like she is fisting Oogami's stomach
