Okay hear me out.
Step 1. They go to Ooogami's brother concert together.
Step 2. Ooogami has to replace a guitarist because he hate oysters at the all-you-can-eat buffet.
Step 3. Ooogami, spurred on because Makiba is in the crowd manages to play perfectly.
Step 4. Some dirtbag makes comments about hitting on Oogami within Makiba earshot, making him realize his feelings for Oogami.
Step 5. After the gig, Makiba is acting weird because he's flustered. But Oogami, having completed her character arc by admitting she likes Makiba to her friends, calls in the favor Makiba owes her and tells him to "ask her on a date".
And this is why I am not a writer, because all of these idea are generic as fuck. But would still make me happy.
