Could have been one of the greatest novels, mangas, and or anime of all time! But the author lost respect for his story, his readers, his craft. Unless the was some extenuating circumstances, like loss of mind, or death and the story changed hands. There’s no excuse for the direction this writing took. Read it please read it. The high you will receive as this story starts is a leadership study on “okay all ya’ll doing this over and over? Well IM DOING THIS! YESSS! And it continues…. Then you’ll start noticing a pattern difference with the writing process that doesn’t get better only worst. The read becomes so frustrating, I exaggerate not. The desire to find one and commit a crime becomes real. This was years ago who knows maybe the author rehauled the story with a massive apology. Well don’t take my word read read it’s great for as long as it is. Maybe it’s a different writer for the manga from over a decade ago.

Is it just me or this is rushed as hell, the world is a sewer of so much corruption, and, I don't know how to explain it, but everything feels artificial? As if my it's pushing my suspension of disbelief not with bullshit gaming systems, but with actions themselves. For example Spoiler alert
Meltina after talking so much righteousness, and the good side, suggests betrayal in a particularly gruesome way, Ryoma's reaction to the slaves was also too exaggerated, that man is as cold as an ice cube and reacts like that, without even mentioning that would be his fate if he didn't escape, the empire trying to take over the world without even considering what happens if the other nations decide to unite against it after seeing the danger
I don't know, things like that really tip me off, I'm about to drop it.
This world is a cesspit of corruption, which is apparently why they keep summoning East Asian people to lead their wars and armies. Lupis is basically the only royal/noble that isn’t corrupted by the world which leads her to making incredibly stupid and contradictory decisions. Meltina potentially starting another civil war behind her back is just one of the most egregious examples of this. Lupis either compromises or defers to others because she’s afraid of hurting anyone. Ryoma even says giving him a wasteland and a title instead of killing him or allying with him (alienating the nobles) was the worst decision she made. I’m still interested but a lot of WN/LN readers say this is the best part before it takes an immediate nosedive lol, so I’ll wait a bit before I drop it.

the story line and plot are great, it's really a bother that the trad had done such a shame of a work on some chapters
