Just a shower thought.
On one hand, fate defies entropy because it does not increase disorder, it decreases it. If a future is predetermined wouldn't everything be in order?
On the other hand, if fate were to be taken in the context of situations such as "soulmates" or "the red string of fate", wouldn't it increase the population if the couple were to have babies? After all, life is just a symphony of chemical reactions working together so it should increase entropy as it allows different possible arrangements of various atoms to exist - and two symphonies of chemical reactions is greater than one. But of course, if those babies were subjected to a predetermined future then everything would be in order once more.
But if fate is real and everything is predetermined then wouldn't there be no concept of entropy? If this is a really heads or tails situation, then shouldn't fate be rejected as entropy is commonly accepted in today's science?
Although, what is there to say that order annihilates entropy? After all, if we were to cool down a glass of water by putting it in a refrigerator, we'd reduce its entropy but how the fridge works is that it takes the heat from inside it and move it onto the surroundings - which means that to reduce the entropy of the glass we'd have to increase the entropy of the air around the fridge essentially resulting in a net zero change in entropy. What is there to prevent a similar phenomena from occuring for fate?
Or should a nonphysical concept be rejected as a subject of entropy? If we can't measure it with a ruler, should it not exist? Is fate just a human concept made by the imagination of an overactive guy or is there a hidden science which nobody had discovered yet?
Anyways, do you think fate messes with entropy?
Entropy Simple Wiki
The entropy of an object is a measure of the amount of energy which is unavailable to do work. Entropy is also a measure of the number of possible arrangements the atoms in a system can have. In this sense, entropy is a measure of uncertainty or randomness
Destiny Wiki
Destiny, sometimes referred to as fate (from Latin fatum – destiny), is a predetermined course of events. It may be conceived as a predetermined future, whether in general or of an individual.
