Considering she isn’t a human, if she’s not just blatantly trying to trick him, I bet it would be guilt. Over protectiveness can stem from that. Maybe it’s something like not wanting to lose her daughter to mortality like she lost her husband.oh well, t'was a good life.
hey, wait a minute, her father was alive when she was a child, so he didn't die immediately... So the mother believes she'll make him sick or something, like it happened before? Woah, she's dealing with some major guilt there. Makes her actions make more sense now.
My guess is it could be direct result of their turn giant power.Die as in, from a magical curse? Or die because her mother will stab you?
There's definitely gotta be more to it, otherwise some bigBelieving her would be extremely dumb.
If this something that would really happen, and she just wanted to genuinely warn him, there would be absolutely no need for the voice changing thing. She could have just told him normally.
She also just told him she can't do anything to him because he didn't fall for her trick (implying that she did want to do something to him), so the obvious next step would be trying another trick.
energy going on there. There would be no need to travel back to the city, impersonate her daughter, and beg to be let in. That last part is exceptional sus too, I don't think that's come up as part of their power set / restrictions previously? This could have been an email.
