@Desuka idk, don't you think sniping is kind of a lose-lose? The scans get demotivated and might drop the manga out of frustration, and the sniper who might've only been intending on doing one chapter will be burdened with continuing on(assuming it's a sole person) if they want to see the continuation of the manga.
i wouldnt expect them to ask to not get sniped if they were planning on dropping the manga, and as a sniper i'd rather join them if i had the skill set and resources to work on this manga.
If it's a different scan altogether who snipes this one, I guess whoever publishes first will be the one most read, but I am unsure since some people want to keep some sort of consistency stylewise. Quality will win out at the end, I believe, once the scans catch up with the manga. Although I must admit I myself don't particularly pay attention to which translation I am reading, most of the time. If there is one who always publishes their translation earlier, I'd probably read that one tbh, but a re-read I'd probably read whichever had the highest quality. And if the manga is finished I'd also read the one with the highest quality.
i think the further this manga lasts the more of these dynamics we'll see at play, sniping seems so stressful, and there's so little reward, if any.
