This story is full of small holes like these, like for example the sudden limitations of MCs restoration skill in other chapters. My advice is to turn your brain off and just enjoy the story for what it is, haha

Another example is how "we can't use landlady's magic as she ran out" was suddenly a thing, when he could easily just restore her to full. But inexplicably that card was suddenly off the table?
