when is the next chapter release? im done reading vol 9. chapter 39.1

There is no 39.1, the last published chapter was 38, followed by bonus extras and the manga is still on hiatus—no Japanese chapter for January 2025 (releases were scheduled by the date Kodansha Afternoon came out) and the mangaka has not announced when or if they will return.

Just so you know, since the manga is licensed in English and other languages, and is now available on K_Manga simulpubbed, and has been for awhile, we won’t be picking it back up. K_Manga (link is at the top of the manga listing on the main site) has expanded beyond U.S.-only and regardless installing a VPN will get you access. If you can’t find volumes in your area, ask your local book store to order them. If translations aren’t available in your language write to your local publisher and request they pick up the license. There’s a list of manga publishers worldwide on Wikipedia. Good luck!

Yep. It was removed as part of the recent DMCA takedown. The manga is still on hiatus, though, so nothing new lost.
