An interesting take on dragon in the dwarf city. Damn I love this manga.

I really just wish that the old man would go away. He isn't needed for anything, doesn't contribute any good facts any more and all he does is just bitch and moan. Whenever he talks I just skip because it is just completely unnecessary.

Since when was "touching a reversed-scale" an idiom in Japan? That's new. I thought it just meant: "touching a weak spot".
Either way, "triggered his ""IMPERIAL WRATH""" seems real awkward, there's no such thing.
I think a better off translation overall, even if it loses its meaning (even though it already has), would've been: "Oh no, girl, you shouldn't have done that!" -- "done what?"

That being said,
It's funny how much sense the lil'drake guy makes. The ones who had everything to benefit from his defeat, actually turned against their benefactor because "muh traditions and hierarchy". It's a catch-22 existing solely because of tepid bureaucracy. So yeah, totally bring down that organization, it's worth shit.

p.s:
@someunregpunk
I am really trying not to think about that while I read the story...It is one of its most glaring faults, that don't make sense, and it'd take a miracle to ever make sense of. It is impossible to not realize an enormous change occurred in her, and NEVER be curious about it.
It makes some sense that it's never talked about, because maybe the author just wants to march on with the story, and not focus on "pointless things". But that'd make the two retainers truly pointless...Why even have them if they are "just there".

@Solipsist wrt the idiom, the jisho entry for reverse scale/逆鱗 mentions it https://jisho.org/search/%E9%80%86%E9%B1%97 ( 逆鱗に触れる , touching the reverse scale), along with the "imperial wrath" meaning, so it's not like the translator here just pulled it out of nowhere at least.

I gotta wonder if it should still be taken literally though (in the "you touched his reverse scale" way vs just "you made him angry" way) since the reverse scale is usually on the throat, and she kicked him somewhere around the back of the head, so I wouldn't be surprised if in this manga the guy actually had a reverse scale on the back of his neck (or she damaged the scale by slamming his head into the ground) or something.

Oh that explains why the son didn't look like a dwarf.

@Greed_King_Xel Could be that he can change forms, alternatively. Dragons being able to take semi human forms is a pretty common trope.
