The first piece of feedback I would give is one that I would give to anyone else -- research the proper usage of like breaks in words instead of using them in arbitrary ways. This is most notable with your '-ing' words. Keep that all together instead of just breaking off the -ng on its own, that just looks really weird.

Unfortunately that type is too common.
If the mom does not work (likely in Japan), and there is not much in the way of life insurance or assets, they can becomes dependent on having a new husband. If new hubby only cares for his own kid...

Little sister is already trash in my books. I doubt she was unaware of a difference in how parents treat them.

They lived together for like a year, and she was 7 or 8 at the time. MC likely has not even been mentioned since she moved out if the mother never calls.

Did do a check on author and artist if this was maybe another work of them, but they are different people

They're little things, but I low-key love all the subversion of the tired-as-heck humdrum tropes in this genre.

That the protagonist of this sort of manga happens to be a girl (absolutely no reason for her not to be); that the mom is unexpectedly vaguely evil, yet that the first auntie she meets at the funeral is trying to make sure she gets her due fortune instead of take it. That she doesn't die or get forcibly summoned to the other world...

I suppose what I'm saying is, the grooves of this genre are so well-worn that it's nice to see someone actually writing their own story for once.

(Now, I'm too jaded to really expect it to last, but... ^^; )
