Heh, I like Chita. She's fun and it's very common for some teens to have to deal with feeling left out when friends start dating, when that's never been in your radar.

This was indirectly huge for the main and side couple too, now all their friends know they're together, no secrecy bs shenanigans.

How her gluttony was weaponized to make her boss despair and to sway those girls was pretty funny, especially Chita rebooting while eating their fries.

She not only saw that Tokio was attractive but that she might 'lose' him too. Is she fine with that? Doesn't exactly seem so. She marked her territory, whether she recognized it as such yet or not.

I don't remember if Tokio clearly confessed but I think he just gave up since Chita didn't seem interested atm.

I think Chita might be among those teens that paradoxically believed all those romantic exaggerations about couples, so since she never felt big feelings, she might be convinced this whole charade is not for her. When it's supposed to be about companionship, enjoying and choosing to spend as much time as possible with someone — and by that reframing, her relationship with Tokio fits.
If she aint big on the big feelings, maybe leave Tokio to someone who appreciates him more than have petty jealousy for a [ friend ] you want to never own as a bf and wants to keep him single at same time (the eat the cake and have it too)

Hopefully Tokio might grow out of the feelings but I dont think it will happen for the sake of the story. Might stay with one sided feelings until maturity reaches and notice Chii aint gonna never reciprocate and nothing he can do will move such montain: might as well move on with life

So... If we are talking about more complex characters I would say "hey, I think this relationship will never concretize Tokio, she is aro and probably ace too.
But well, since we just have standard romcom characters, she will probably end the story with him.

I really want to see Tokio move on, this is just sad. I also don't understand what he supposedly sees in her, nor what is supposed to have infatuated the 3 girls. "Oh my God, she shoved food in her face in a crass manner! Swoooon!" ????? :questionblob:

That look of petrified shock on Chita when Toyoda revealed her relationship with Inuyama. That was kinda... satisfying.

I like how Tokio corrected Chii on "NTR" - if she truly swung the other way, her situation only counts as BSS at best because neither of her friends ever belonged to her as a lover. Someone who was never yours can never be "stolen" from you. It's just plain 'ol jealousy. Besides, she doesn't even know which way she truly swings - her possessiveness of her friends seem not romantically motivated at all.

Chita realizing Tokio's popular and he might get a girlfriend soon is her developing some sort of awareness that even he can leave her, but I can't tell if she's actually gonna end up changing or whatever. She asserted her foodie connection with him, but ultimately she's still resisting change and doubling down on her identity as the selfish glutton character.

Pretty unbelievable that she rizzed those girls away from Tokio with her gluttony. I guess it was meant as a comic relief gag, but it kinda fell flat for me. Tokio is in for a toxic relationship with this girl if he continues pushing this thorny uphill path. If it isn't already toxic, that is.
