I assumed that meant that there was something like 50 questions so you needed 30/50 to pass not 30% to pass. But I could be wrong and Japanese schools could just have a really lax passing standard.

Hey this happened to me too.

My highschool was badly-managed, notoriously so. Some teachers weren't allowed to grade tests "for budget reasons" (We got a brand new locker room for the football team that year. And a new one two years after that)

Anyway, how do the school administrators make sure tests get graded? Student graders, of course!

Specifically ones who need a score boost in the same class they're grading.

And as it turns out, more often than not, ones who have beef with anyone who does better than themselves.

So guess which students suddenly jumped from 20% grade averages to 99% and which students fell from 79~98% to 10%.

can't be the classic skipping a question and getting all the answers shifted by 1 space since it doesn't seem like that kind of test

0 is just a weird score if the author wanted her to fail they would've used a more realistic one

Either she picked up the wrong test, or she did something like get the answer sheet wrong and answered question 1 as question 2, question 2 as question 3, and so on.

nah, getting a straight 0 is impossible. even randomly guessing answers will yield points.

shes been shown getting at least low double digits before, so a 0 would be impossible for her.
