That just makes him more of an actual character imo. He isn't perfect, hes hasn't got much self-respect and he is very nervous around intimacy but hes also a very caring and supportive person and isn't judgemental of others. He might get weirded out Inuyama's perverted nature but he still was his best friend and saw him past that and he never judged Anjou based on the rumours she had at the start of the story. Hes flawed but also good in other ways like a real person.

This was a really nice chapter, it's kind of rare for these kinds of 'otaku x gal' manga to give the male some properly positive traits that still fit the character and require some actual effort, beyond just randomly making him a super genius or suddenly becoming a street brawler when he needs to save the femc. It's nice to have one of these manga where the female lead actually has some reasons to be into the guy, beyond something convenient like 'he caught me when I fell down the stairs' style contrivances.
