Didn’t have a problem with text on mobile. I at least like the fact that Anjou is the kind that scares easily but still loves horror, it’s a really rare archetype in manga.
@matcap is pretty spot on, all on these ‘waifu-centered series’ depend on the premise that the status quo is unmovable...usually takes an author a while to exaust all of the possible events until the only option is them getting together. I think Anjou-san is one of the worst on that regard, only in these last few chapters we’re starting to learn about them and the author has begun to rely on a side-couple to engage the readers almost as if to say “See? I can write actual progress, don’t worry!”, something a lot of authors do to keep the formula going.
With that said, I think Nagatoro is at least the best when dealing with that— the characters might both be cowards, but the actual status-quo does change and their dynamic gets increasingly flirty, with a focus on senpai getting over his social hang ups.
