I think he's actually not that old because of what Hikki said.. That's why I'm surprised.. Hikki said he still thin and handsome when he picked her up when she was in Junior High.. It's probably 6-7 years ago.. Because Hikki can order adult toys now.. Much mean she must be 18+.. Thin landlord supposed to be he in his 25s (Average Salaryman Age after graduating college).. Which mean he is in 32-40s..

I think it must be landlord didn't know Yaku is already in her 20s. Or maybe landlord is in his 40s so that make sense he could have child like Yaku..

Or maybe The Authors didn't think of Hikki earlier when he was thinking about having child as the same age as Yaku and this scene just a retcon to make the landlord became more heroic.. But accidentaly make him younger..

But this chapter actually explain what happen after that chapter when Landlord found Yaku nearly killing herself because she did the weird thing as possible.. He actually help her recover.. 😌 What a nice guy..

Awesome chapter, I'm glad Hikineko is starting to integrate herself with the main cast.
Might be because of HameFan's TL, dialogue written for Hikineko feels on point in a lot of ways.
It's got that awkwardness and social friction when you deal people with a lack of social experience.
I like the idea of landlord turning into an NTR protag from the stress of having beast men tenants.

Its likely she's only 18, we've never seen her drink and she seems younger then other members of the cast.

Considering the landlord has been her legal guardian for years she really is the worst she has no reason to be a NEET at that point no wonder Yaki-neko got mad.

The landlord has treated Yaki-neko like his own daughter and she see's him as a father figure so I'd be mad too that Hiki has been taking advantage of such a nice guy.
