I was a bit hopeful at first, but now I can say the student council president is the worst thing that happened to this manga, stalling progress for everyone for who knows longer.
I'm assuming this will stay the same until the editor tells author to conclude the series, then Saotome will suddenly realize he has always been in love with Kuzuhana.

Congratulations Madoka on giving up, this is the chapter where you left the race, and passed the opportunity of losing and entered the "is going to lose real bad, and go down as a coward on top"

I truly do not mind the slow burn of this series. Every girl is getting time to shine, there's no wild time jumps, fuck it this series can be the one piece of romcoms, it's fun

Bro is that deep into fashion, its been established that it's his thing and he always seems to be looking and analyzing it... and doesn't even recognize the hairpin he gifted his childhood friend? Get the FFFFFFUUUUUUUCK outta here, author.

I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for a lot of things... but that's a little too far.

This story is such a slow burn (which isn't inherently good or bad) I never feel lost.
I truly do not mind the slow burn of this series.
Not sure I'd call it a "slow burn" as much as "stalling". Slow burn series have a slow but steady development and don't hinge on characters knowing what they want but never taking the final step. It's more about the development to that self-knowledge. For this series, it would matter very little if someone confessed now or 150 chapters ago. Very little has fundamentally changed since.

Now, MC has grown up in some areas, so it's not like there's no progression at all, but the major stop is still the girls not confessing despite knowing how they feel, and it's been like that since forever. It's the classic reason why the childhood friend "never" wins.

That said, I'm not too bothered by the pace myself. There are various things happening, and the arcs don't drag as much as they do in some other series of similar length (especially tournament arcs).

Now that you've put Anchorman in my head, I'm actually confident Brick himself would manage a proper confession before these girls could...

Bros, I'm losing hope with this one. 200 chapters with no development, while other works are either letting their mc's smash or get together with the girl they fancy. Author introduced too many girls

These girls need to start getting shot down so that we can wrap the series up. It's almost 200 chapters longer than it should have been.

Just caught up and man is this series ass.
Saotome does NOTHING and there are too many girls. "I want to focus on fashion" fuck off, deciding for yourself how much time is "enough" for a girlfriend. Such an arbitrary way to extend the series needlessly. I'm so sad progress StuCo Prez is out of the story, she was the best thing since the early chapters.
I know Kuzuhana is gonna be the winner, but with how little screentime she gets, it doesn't feel deserved or satisfying. Takae has been the most active and simultaneously worst girl. The root of all stalling. Queen bitch. At this point the only thing to root for is Saotome not ending up with anyone and becoming a fashionista incel. What an unbearable idiot who can't take a hint.

Anyway see y'all on January 16th for the next chapter.

All I see are a group of girls sharing one braincell with a lax return policy.
