Because running a few metres to those poles takes such an effort you can't rest up between events.

Good strategy to have FMC just block two poles by herself. Ties up a lot of opponents.

Hanako should be stronger there. She fought against more opponents last time.

Anyway, I don't get complains about this arc being slow. We literally had half of the festival concluded in 2 chapters. At this point, we'll reach the conclusion before Easter.

As for my predictions, the girls with the best chances are Hanako, Mai, Aoi and Itachi, with Hodaka as a potential upset. I personally hope for Hanako, Mai or Itachi winning. Itachi for sake of Hodaka ending up spending the day with the one girl who doesn't see him as a romantic target.
