So assuming the author does the right thing and we got the rejection, how it will happen?
Saotome might tell her he wants to focus on his studies now and so she'll still pursue him hoping he'll change his mind later. Or he might admit he likes another girl, thus shutting her down completely.
Will this confession put pressure on the other girls, leading to them going on the offensive, or it will be a sign that the time isn't right yet?

"She probably has no awareness when it comes to guys" - ah yes, the author reminding us of their expert ability to make the MC willfully ignorant on top of being the densest object in the universe. Made worse since he actually mentions the date with the grown ass man that assaulted her.
I do hope he gets to properly reject her (just like he did the Prez - not sure why people keep saying she'll be the first he turns down) although my own prediction is he gets interrupted; with the worse case scenario being this becoming the "indecisive white knight" trope...

Best girl confessed in a way that is impossible for him to misinterpret as her not actually liking him (if he does I’m finding this fucking mangaka). She’s 100% getting rejected. Not just because she confessed (properly) first, but because she’s not the title heroine (who’s ass is relegated to background character so much that I hope she loses simply because it’d be the ultimate insult to the reader’s intelligence if she still won after all this).

As much as I love Yuna, she's one of the two girls that made him this jaded in the first place. In the same vein, Takae was the first girl to actually hurt him and make him move towards his inability to actually accept their feelings.

As for the Prez, she got what she deserved, a clean rejection. You don't badger a guy into choosing between going on date with you and causing a stink with other girls through rumours and then expect them to accept your confession. The sole reason he didn't acknowledge her feelings as serious was because she did act like it wasn't serious herself, immediately trying to drag him into shenanigans when he felt sorry for her.

In Universe, Takae and Ushigome may have bad starts with him (putting it mildly) but that wasn't the point I was making there. Just that Ushigome wasn't the first to confess her feelings to him.

It's been over a year since that happened and while trauma doesn't just go away, he's supposed to be their friend. If his first set of thoughts are doubting Ushigome when she poured her heart out to him he's a terrible friend. On the Prez, yeah she deserved a clean rejection because that's what all girls he doesn't like deserve. He writes off everyone's feelings as "not serious". He doesn't deserve to be with any of them because that's a massive lack of respect.
