Honestly, I am actually enjoying this development. It really shows Kasumi's issues without making them obnoxious. Or rather, it's a very good mental profile of the exact kind of dumbass she always was presented as.The reason why Kasumi still feels like she's losing to Hanako is because Hanako actually cares about Hodaka's feelings.
At least the MVP card usage is still null & void meaning that Hanako can still use it in the future.
