His answer seems mature at first but the follow up answers about the other girls and himself were awful, also the way he thought of how Ushigome would react showed he really didnt know her character... To me it didn't feel he grew up, he is more aware yes, but still feel he stalled in the self deprecating too hard.

After this chapter I'll take another break from this, author cooked with the Okinawa arc but now it feels like it will be stale for a while again
