I actually think we've had more story in the last few chapters than we've had in a while. It's nice to see the girls with goals they want to achieve and struggles they're overcoming, rather than just fruitlessly trying to appeal to Saotome.

This series constantly has some changes, it's just the fact that these changes are 80% about things outside the main romance. And I know that it's a hot take, but I genuinely enjoy it that way.

the difference between this and the similarly long Rental Girlfriend is that MC's character growth isn't lost, the relationships between the girls would still exist if the MC wasn't there, and most importantly, this manga shows a lot of thigh every chapter.

Yeah, it's a genuinely good long runner rom-com, precisely because it spends so much time on developing things outside the romance. Girls all have their arcs, all have stuff to do besides MC and all have their own relationships with each other.
