The magic stuff is the least enjoyable part of the story for me. All the "amazing" things the MC has done so far seem like basic bitch magic but of course it's super cool and unique because this is an isekai so everyone else in the world is either a talentless shitter or braindead.

On the other hand, the side characters and MC's interactions with them are much more enjoyable. I hope we get more of that and less of that other stuff.

This story is the same repeated tropes but I do like the side characters. Chris and her lotion business, the mother finding new resolve, the dad warming up to his children, Sandra and her history with magic, now Ruben's and Diana's slow ass romance.

The more the story focuses on the setting's characters and not just Ridd the more I seem to be enjoying it.

With the dark elf girl being sort-of introduced in the second chapter and featured on the cover art, I would have thought she would have made another appearance of some kind by now. Not that I mind, seeing him learn the basics and come up with at least a stop-gap cure for his mother is a good story too, just surprising.

Happy MC helped the Idiot NOT fall into the Trap of "oh she said we were just friends, that must mean I have no chance" and actually fucking CONFESS! As he learned, turns out she DID want him to confess after all! I hate the MISUNDERSTANDING Drama where the IDIOTS IN LOVE do STUPID SHIT under the belief the other doesn't love them because "proper communication is for suckers" it seems (I did love ONE where the Couple waited till they were OLD before FINALLY confessing and realizing they missed their ENTIRE LIVES because they were too COWARDLY to fucking TALK! I remember the story being a TIME LOOP so they essentially get send BACK to their youth AFTERWARDS together and so cause a NEW TIMELINE where they decide to DATE and see if it works! Instead of the OLD timeline where they were alone! They now have many kids and grandkids! REALLY making that second chance work! Again it's a LONG TIME ago and I'm looking for it MYSELF so don't ask me the name!)
