I think that with all the hardship he has to endure during his time fighting the demon king and all the other shit, he would mature a bit, not much but more tough mentally. But I don't see anything tough about him at all beside his power is OP, his inner monologue and everything seem like a kid come up with a setting and just let it roll.

Well, this is just how I see it, I don't think he did anything wrong with destroy the human kingdom to retaliate or refuse the princess but I just find his inner monologue cringe.

Like how he keep mention that the world is shitty and how only his wife is his ally and the only one love him and on his side in all the world.

Dude seem like someone who is under mental illness which make him hate the whole world and obsesesed with his wife to keep himself together. That is kinda unhealthy.

Well, this is just my opinion though, everyone has their own taste.
Well he is from another world, so it is not wrong when he hate his new world when they force him to become "hero" then betray him.
About his inner voice being cringe, i think it just because it is not his inner voice, more about him telling reader his story / experience.
And about his obsessiveness, still think that it because it is prologue so he tell us that after what he experience, what he care now is just his wife

Personally, I think that he sounds cringe because of the garbage-tier translation.

I don't know how to get this added to the title page but this is the novelupdates link if anyone wants to read the novel version: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-sulky-summoner-doesnt-move/

I decided to check out the novel to see how it starts off and it is a bit different in terms of how it presents Kenta. This chapter covers chapter 1 and half of chapter 2. The dream sequence showing his summoning, fight with demon king, and betrayal by the kingdom is not present in novel or at least not within the first few chapters.

Novel starts off with people yelling outside Kenta's house and him grumbling about having to deal with them. Kenta describes Princess Victoria as wearing a filly lace-adorned armor whereas the manga has her in a frilly dress. This totally changes her impression for me. Armor says that she is actively part of battle as a commander of some sort, dress says to me that she stays far away from any conflict. Kenta also comes off as much less obsessed with his wife in the first few novel chapters and quickly backs down from the idea that he actually hates everyone.

The impression I have from the novel is that Kenta is a reclusive guy that loves his wife, is annoyed by the people showing up at his doorstep, and mainly just hates nobles since they are the ones that betrayed him. Manga Kenta comes off as a paranoid guy that's obsessed with his wife and actually hates everyone else in the world.

Oh, so in the novel MC was more chill than in the manga version.

I can understand his hate for nobles after such an experience.

So bro kiled the demon king and married the next demon queen lmao. And it seems she is now pregnant too ? Maybe ? I need an in-depth backstory of these two.

Just finished reading some chapters from the novel, its surprisingly wholesome SoL, with a bit of dark moments thanks to MC backstory

Would be cool but I feel like its gonna be some magical plot disease to get the ball rolling and force the MC to help people in exchange for the cure.
unfortunately, she is really pregnant. Kakuyomu source

I was expecting her to die and then MC is going on a journey to revive her. Kinda like that one reincarnated as dhampir manga.
But she's actually preganante huh.

Mc Isekai as the hero.
Kill the demon King.
Get betrayed by human.
Destroy human kingdom.
Run away with a demon queen.

Why do I feel that MC’s mind is like that of a middle schooler more than a war veteran. Muh, I hate the world and everyone, only my beautiful demon queen wife is my ally :shamihuh:

What is this ? A kid ?
A man who is suffering paid with execution has to get a reward somehow.
You call this guy a kid then that basically means all the war veterans in their world
is branded the same too by your logic
of course after they got awarded and retire

Just my cents

To be honest if they instead of a simple flashback put less of 10 chapters to tell that past, this will be an interesting manga instead of a generic edgy isekai

His decision to do whatever the fuck he wants was right though, he's under no obligation to serve anyone especially if they have a knight that thinks of him as a pawn when they know very well that they could be killed by him, in the first place he was kidnapped from his world to do a task the inhabitants of that world were too weak to do.

If you're gonna call him a kid, maybe stop thinking like one yourself??? What kind of grown adult or any self respecting human would just allow people to roll over him after all that he's done for its inhabitants, to top it off he has just cause to be angry, they literally have a bounty on his head, having a bounty on your head means they want you dead or captured, in this case mostly dead

HE IS RIGHT to refuse

He literally just wanted to go home, also from how it was shown, doesn't seem like the kingdom gave him any choice anyway nor did they treat him well enough to warrant him to be merciful
Well, this is just how I see it, I don't think he did anything wrong with destroy the human kingdom to retaliate or refuse the princess but I just find his inner monologue cringe.
His monologue is there because he hates the place and has no way home at all, you can find it cringe but that doesn't change the fact that he was treated the absolute worst by the weak people of the kingdom that had to depend on a child to save their sorry asses
Like how he keep mention that the world is shitty and how only his wife is his ally and the only one love him and on his side in all the world.
Wow almost like the world wasn't already presented to be shitty
Dude seem like someone who is under mental illness which make him hate the whole world and obsesesed with his wife to keep himself together.
Because they were gonna kill him, he's mentally ill??? Because the kingdoms after finding out what happened instead of buttering up the hero who literally saved the world wanted him dead instead? And put a bounty on his head.

If anything the dude is VERY SANE
That is kinda unhealthy.
no it isn't , he has every right to feel that way and he was treated less than poorly
Well, this is just my opinion though, everyone has their own taste.
What would you do in his situation? Be all sunshine and rainbows and smile?

Wait did you even read the thing properly and understood what was going on??
