It always was, we have a literally doormat MC who gets treated shit by a FMC [let me you there are better options for him but he chooses to stick with the shittest person]. A MC whose just a shitty, selfish, egoist, idiotic problem solver. And none of those traits that the FMC has, dosen't have the anime/manga whitewash effect in making it not seem shitty which is really something. The only thing that the FMC has, and the series in general, is that the chicks are hot and that's why the dumpster keeps burning despite the majority of the characters, espicialy FMC and MC, are very unlikable with not much redeemable traits.

I seem to disagree with most here, I think the story still has legs if the FMC was just retired from the series at this point. That or make her a clear antagonist.

It would be fairly novel to read a story about someone getting over a prior relationship with an existing cast and the whole prior relationship already detailed. Most stores just use a few pages of flashbacks.

There's literally no reason to read this further. Even if the MC is "unlikeable" - and I'll argue he's no less or more likeable than typical gloomy loner Otaku supratypes you find in the genre - how is any of this enjoyable? She dumped him, there's this other chick who might as well be the first FMC with the clock pulled backwards a few years. We are subjected to the same cycle for over 30 chapters? I mean, I get how silly milking can be - Queen Bee, Kanojo Okari, etc., but this is an insult to the intelligence and motivation of the reader. This is junk.

I don't think they got back together at all. The ending and the "reboot" beginning was a little fuzzy (perhaps deliberately so), but I don't think they're a couple again.

The ending was him as the groom and her as the bride so they are back together.
The reboot is the time in between so we get to see what happened that lead up to it.
If you're referring to them not being a couple at the start of the reboot then yeah they aren't.
