I agree with this, which is why it’s still weird to me how he’s all like “I never had friends” at the beginning of the mangaThey were already described as having history, even as childhood friends. The dynamics of their friendship are explored in their past together-- and we get a lot of that past as well as insight into it in this arc.
true
- wish i could have banged her a couple of times
- i'm wearing heatteach
most fucking random chapter ever
Her commentary with trucker-san made me consider this possibility. Actually, "consider" its strong wording, but I wouldn't be surprised if happened. The fact that she can't regenerate anymore make me think otherwise.
smells like author's jokeWhy the hell did a trademark suddenly pop up? Were the translators having fun disguising a bad joke as canon? Or did the author literally force in an actual paid ad like others seem to speculate?
I do know what's lacking in their relationship. With Mahiru+Kou and with Mahiru+Kou+Akira, Author only showed us that they were close and that they like each other. He made us spectators by showing flashbacks and such. The closest to let us feel them (that I can remember) was the "night at school" thing.I get where you are coming from. I truly do, I understand your points. But idk to me, there is something that that lacks in their friendship. But I don't know what that something is.
Kou and Akira feel like closer friends compared to Kou and Mahiru in my opinion.
Anyway, I hope we don't see Kiku again after this. There is something about her that annoys me. Is it her indecisiveness to know what she wants when she becomes a human (die or live) or is it that she careless about her offspring and only used them for her personal gain?
I don't understand the point of this arc. Everyone is like "we were angry, but now accept it" (without anything really changing.) But that is just my view on it. It is okay to differ, makes discussing it more fun.
Part of his development was recognizing what "friends" are (he actively agonizes over what constitutes a "friend"), that he had them, and that he ought to put more into treasuring them.I agree with this, which is why it’s still weird to me how he’s all like “I never had friends” at the beginning of the manga
...with Mahiru and Kou, we're made "spectators". And with Akira and Kou, we "see" them be friends.I do know what's lacking in their relationship. Now, when we see Akira+Kou, we actually got to feel them. To see them interacting and becoming closer. We were not "made known that they were friends", it wasn't someone telling us, we saw them being friends.
I checked the raw, Kou indeed said "Heattech" (though I don't know it's author's joke or that word synonymous to warm innerwear). The trademark however is translator joke. Why the hell did a trademark suddenly pop up? Were the translators having fun disguising a bad joke as canon? Or did the author literally force in an actual paid ad like others seem to speculate?
English isnt my main language, so I don't Express myself that wellPart of his development was recognizing what "friends" are (he actively agonizes over what constitutes a "friend"), that he had them, and that he ought to put more into treasuring them.

Please understand you're saying the same thing twice. Not only that-- you definitely saw Mahiru and Kou being friends in the same way you saw Akira and Kou being friends, even if the former somehow had less moments in comparison with just the two of them.
If there's anything I can see from what you're trying to get at, it's that most of Akira and Kou's relationship is fleshed out in present time, whereas a notable amount (definitely not all) of Mahiru and Kou's relationship is fleshed out in the past that we end up learning. In both cases, however, their relationships are objectively still being fleshed out by either of those methods-- it's not as if the flashbacks are discontinuous from their present behavior.
Just replying to make a pun, nothing serious here~Going from "weirds" (not talking to each other for a long time) to friends.
LMAOJust replying to make a pun, nothing serious here~
Huh, "weirds" is a weirdly strange word for "strangers". What are the odds!? Even odders would say Dam'. ('otters' (or I guess 'others') with a misplaced tongue - I know I forced that one )
