This chapter was refreshing. I wonder what that creepy building in the middle of nowhere hides inside (besides raccoons and leptospirosis)! The scene of them talking, reacting to the food and the chef listening, reminded me of "The Way of the Househusband"! Thks for the tl~:win:

The localization on this group is next level. Makes the experience new again reading the same chapter twice.

Regarding the chapter itself, the sushi date is the best this manga has been in months. They should focus on more stuff like that with people from the night and odd jobs

Well, this was (mostly) a nice light hearted chapter to clense the palate after our stretch of drama.

Yeah the Tonikaku group is pretty good with most things they touch, but they also tend to lose interest in stuff, or simply take longer than other scan groups.

I have to agree. The Kiku stuff was really weird, all things considered. It was clearly planned, since we actually see them earlier in the series. But the whole arc was so drastically different from the night time chill vibe that the series had had up until that point. Honestly I could use a little less soap opera with a boring and unsatisfying ending, and more throwing an office lady out the window cuz she needed and excuse to not go into work at 1 am.

Detective lady focused chapter truly cleanses the palate of poor drama. Of course it is only a small reprieve until the next arc, probably.

This was a treat, in more ways than one.

The author manages to go around familiar tropes in unfamiliar ways. It is refreshing and a reason for this manga being at the top of my list. Rare to see anything close to it.
