Good question. Marie switches from "watashi" to "watakushi" (then back at the end) along with a slightly different cadence/conjugation during that section. It's not so heavy as a royal we, but a little touch of formality and while presenting humble request. I did fiddle with a few different options before settling on this one.

I'm glad at least the main feeling came across!
