@degenerateafro This is probably a "spoke too soon" moment. We might not be done with the cooking stuff. For all you know, she might finally decide to open a food stall nearby and invent mayo. Mayo is almost always the "secret weapon" in isekai cooking manga, it's never the first round or two. It'll be the secret ingredient that the copycat chef won't be able to replicate because he'll have no idea how to make it.

The fact that her name is Yuri should be evidence enough ( maybe her drools are not just about the food... )

I checked the title to make sure that I wasn't reading "Shougeki no Soma"...

@Luna I had the exact same thought, that any moment a loudmouthed redhead was going to bust through the doors and raise her pervert level yet again

From what I've gathered by lurking and reading other peoples' explanations of things... it is a Japanese daytime television thing. As in apparently it is pretty common in Japan to just have shows on TV where celebrities react to food. And loads of manga do the same thing because it is just culturally engrained in them.
Besides, Shokugeki no Souma wasn't nearly as extreme about it as Yakitate Japan. I don't think anything else is that extreme.

Personally, I think it's a bit like people squabbling over "sniping" manga titles from different translation groups. Sure, different groups do better or worse jobs, but none of them are directly benefiting the original creator. So what's the point of animosity about such things?
Except they do. Most sniping attempts are not done in purely good will, and out of “I should snipe this manga so the spotlight is on my group and it’s easier to make some money.” I know this because I was once very active as a scanlator.

Not only that, duplicate effort. As much as 10 different groups wanting to translate OPM is a thing, it’s better to invest that effort into another manga so we get more to pick from.

Third, sniper groups almost always focus purely on speed and either MTL or disregard all quality marks. Why? Goes back to reason 1. They don’t care and so I don’t care either when I call them out.

@notesha ah i see the problem, she don't care about fame she even want less of it because she don't want to be recognised.

There is no patents in this world, so how exactly would she do that? Since there is nobody that would or could enforce it.

You need to step out of some modern thinking, copyright what's that can you eat it?
they do have it, its just that you cant patent food
people can patent their inventions and people that want to use the patent pay them royalty
