Am I the only who feels like we never saw him actually develop feelings for her. It feels like he just spontaneously obtained feelings feelings for her for arbitrary plot reasons while only being annoyed with her every step of the way.

To clarify, reasonably, the progress would be along the lines of...
1. I hate this, but it's for my family.
2. Is she maybe not that bad?
3. I guess I can tolerate this.
4. She's actually kind of nice, despite everything.
5. Oh crap, I like her.

It feels like we got.

Author forgot to add the smallest, faintest redeemable quality to her character and went straight to MC liking her because that's what happens in romcoms right?

I saw nothing but lust and second intentions on that kiss, even he admitted that he understands there should be more to a kiss between a couple but that he is jumping the gun because her father said so.

I agree with comments above. Author didn't plan this story correctly. For a romance comedy manga, there is no romance in it only comedy (even with the not that funny comedy). If author wanted to create a romance manga, author need a decent amount of plot that connects emotion between characters. This chapter is a mess it feels like this story being axed.

There is certain aspect that this manga is lacking in creating romance to not confuse the reader.
1. The goal for the mc. Even a no goal is included. It just needs to be clear enough to reader. This is why most mc is a dense mc with certain ideal mc hold because it's the easiest to create. Abusing it is bad though. This manga has it but it's in vague state after many chapters. Is the goal actually being achieved in this chapter? It's not clear. It feels like an ending is near
2. Conflict to the main cast. This aspect is used to create situation to move the story. If this one is lacking, nothing will get improved. President is weird. She is both kind and ready to be homewrecker. The fmc itself is too bratty, she never did a continuous effort to improve her situation. Because of that, there is no conflict in it, the story just happened by design. It is certainly would feel nothing actually happened even if something is actually happened

You know what. I'm happy. He made it clear that he cares about her and he doesn't allow his hesitation about sexuality get in the way in the end. He doesn't do something typical like get embarrasse. He just says they're not ready which is fair.

This makes him more mature then the majority of ecchi MCs
