A man has his priorities
he is truly a man of culture, no hesitation
Yep, there are certainly a lot of things we take for granted in our modern world. I believe at one point steel was more expensive than silver due to how hard it was to make steel back then, so having steel utensils was a way of flaunting wealth over lower nobles using silver utensils. With industrial advancement, steel is dirt cheap now.Well, ample salt and spices like pepper, are isekai money making staples at this point. Easy ways to make money.
And people tend to not notice our current age of abundance. We get global shipping and commerce, out of season produce, and extensive refrigeration. Most modern citizens have better food access than Kings, from even half a century ago. So any labor intensive ingredient becomes almost free, when you have golems doing all the labor.
There was a female vampire sent by Ternecia, to kill Eleanora and Van, during the raid on Talosheim, she's a zombie vampire now. So Van does have a line women can cross that will get them killed too.Based on Vandalieu's track record so far, I wonder if Ternecia will also become part of the harem. I don't believe he has directly killed any female enemies so far.
hope is enough for that boySadly, for this guy, all these girls are Vans future brides. Especially the muscle ghoul.
Empires used to go to war over what we consider cheap microwave meals now.For nobles, they said. Shows the huge disparity in ingredient prices in our world versus theirs. Practically everything they were serving is also largely sold as street food, as well as being in some casual restaurants.
Let's leave the
Bellmond! Bellmond! Bellmond!
Well, Van already has Gabumon marked for disposal. So those 2 vampire bosses are gonna try to kill each other once the 3rd is gone right?
Spice back in the dark ages were a luxury item peasants couldn't afford. Being fat was a status symbol because it showed you could afford to over eat. Salt at one point in history was so valuable that it was used as currency. Sweet too were something only the wealth could afford. I'm sure you've read 1 or 2 isekai manga where the MC complains about the food being bland, that's because the food is not seasoned at all for the previously mentioned reasons. For nobles, they said. The Ghouls don't want to marry him, they just want to fuck him so that they can produce strong off spring. Basically, i'm saying the human dude has a chance is he's strong.Sadly, for this guy, all these girls are Vans future brides. Especially the muscle ghoul.
you forget the one with online supermarket powers making gods and goddesses begging him to offer any of the modern foodstuffs like bread or wine or even chocolate while he and his 'familiars' are having fine dining experience with monsters meat and parts.Van's impression of nobles eating Japanese junk food has to be a dig at all the other stories That the protag makes flan or potato chips and have kings fall in front of them for being a god that delivers recipes unknown to existence.
There are few things that make my eyes glaze over like stories trying to food porn their way along. Hands down the worst parts of stories like Death March or Kuma Kuma Kuma. Bard Loen only gets a pass, because you can tell the mangaka really puts the effort in (crazy good art and pacing), even if the eating parts suck.
Technically he didn't directly kill her, Eleanora did. Also, it's pretty well established now that death in the traditional sense is meaningless for named characters unless their soul is broken. There was a female vampire sent by Ternecia, to kill Eleanora and Van, during the raid on Talosheim, she's a zombie vampire now. So Van does have a line women can cross that will get them killed too.
Female characters get rarely killed in this series. There is Isla, now a zombie vampire, but I think she got killed by Eleonora (during the attack on Talosheim). When he met Heinz again for the first time in the Kingdom, he also killed an old (evil) fruit vendor woman (albeit unintentionally), but I'm not sure if that was depicted in the manga adaption.Yep, there are certainly a lot of things we take for granted in our modern world.
