It would be fun if a fantasy Cromwell would spawn occasionally to cut the royalty a head short.

I mean the rule of law exists in this world it’s just that the issue is that these settlements aren’t viewed to be citizens by the citizens of this duchey and are instead viewed to be outsiders that are ruining the economy of the duchy. I dunno if the manga is covering this though.
