I don't think they want to attack him in the first place. Their first thought is making peace with him before they learn anything else. They only give up on that when Rodcort tells them it isn't possible to bring Van's mother back to life. I wouldn't call refusing to attack a sympathetic target dodgy or greedy, particularly when a literal god is ordering you to do that.

Ngl, when I saw the raws of this chapter, I assumed that they were made angels so they could be given a huge power boost thatd let them fight Van a bit more evenly, but nope.

also, what exactly did his calculate ability Say was impossible? Vans kinda already moved on from his whole Plot to murder all his classmates and is mostly fine with just letting them be so long as they don’t try to murder him. His only real beef is with the idiot God.

I guess maybe they haven’t figured out that he’s actually changed and grown and decided not to get vengeance (against them specifically), since they were only basing things off his experiences on earth and what little the God was able to tell them.

Peace with Rodcorte. Van never gave a shit about the other classmates as long as they left him well enough alone and didn't interfere with his business. But he will NEVER forgive Rodcorte or Alda. That being said he just doesn't want to interact with his classmates at all, so he'd rather they just not die on Origin at all.

The funny part is in making them his angels is he is inadvertently creating his replacements making him even more discardable in regards to maintaining the reincarnation system, especially considering how he is disliked by basically everyone in the series.

It's a bit more complicated than that, but I'll just say the creation of the Bravers organization itself was the initial catalyst for what ultimately happens in Origin. As for what Van went through on Earth, he lost his parents, and then after he was taken in by his relatives he was beaten, abused, fed the worst "food", and basically just treated like absolute shit on Earth while they stole his inheritance.

Oh, a lot has been going on in that front. The web novel usually has interlude chapters for it. For spoilers...

Remember how all the classmates kinda became Agents/Superheroes on Origin? All that was orchestrated by the other Hiroto Amamiya. They were all living their lives in luxury, but he gathered them and exposed them to the world. He claims it's because World Powers were starting to take notice of their cheats and were formulating plans to kidnap and experiment on them. But by revealing themselves and being presented as a Superhero like group, they could cut off those plans and be protected in full public view. But, as you can imagine, not everyone was cool with being forced into active combat service. Some even ended up being mentally unstable because of the stuff the saw and did. So, a small group broke away and became fugitives. They killed these 2 because their cheats (Lie detection and a supercomputer brain) would make hiding too difficult. There are some other stuff too but I'm curious how the manga will handle it.

if you mean chapter 2, this manga doesn't show it clearly, but they had nothing to do with those unethical experiments,

and then finally killed him?

as chapter 51, 52 showed: they didn't know about him being one of their classmates., they thought he was a random insane experiment, and it's mostly amamiya hiroto's fault anyways since he got them together and called the shots
