My grandma got alzheimer's this year. Reading this chapter again is just tearing my soul apart.

My grandma is gone from this world. Her last days were painful and its agonizing to watch her like that. I made peace with the fact she would be dead but seeing her in pain just mess me up a lot. Now nothing can hurt her anymore. FYI she got stomach cancer near the end of 2024.
RIP grandmother 1924-2025, you were loved and you will be missed.

In our generation kids cry when they want to cry. They do not hide it. I see that her upbringing was made to "hide your mess" like sad feelings etc.

A lot of times, the latter is more useful later in life. A balance is best.
