This was one of the most moving chapters. My husband's niece just entered kindergarten and it's so strange that she, too, is a "big kid" now. She and even manga like this have made me warm up to kids a bit more, but, probably too late. That's okay, I'm just more appreciative of them now and willing to help her grow up well. Sometimes I wonder if the Japanese government should give family slice of life mangaka incentives...it could be pretty good propaganda to couner a shrinking birth rate.
