I buy manga, and even doujins (both pervy and not so pervy) very frequently. My manhwa collection is quite extensive (but I always bought those since I’m Chinese myself, so I read quite alot of 武侠 and other shit).
But I don’t follow the links you guys post or link; I use book depository unless I travel back to grab the physical copy myself.

I buy English manga from Amazon, but not many titles because the exchange rate and shipping is awful... Occasionally I buy Japanese manga via 3rd party shops as well because some manga don't ship to my country or too expensive.

I use the links of official simulcast that are available internationally and spend as much as I need to to enjoy the manga/webcomics. For example I recently discovered Tappytoon and I was braindead enough to enjoy the type of comics there and managed to spend up to $75 in a single day. As for buying raws from bookwalker, I'd usually do that when the scanlation team reminds me that the raws are available on bookwalker and I should support the author.

I used to buy hardcopies of localized manga even though it's so expensive to ship to my place but I stopped doing that because I'm running out of space. I would not hesitate to buy anything that's soft copy and accessable internationally (viz media sucks in that department)

The shelves of my bookcase sag from all the books, I sadly don't have space to buy phisical copies. When I land a job I decided I'll buy some digital manga, though.

If the source is offered free (paid in ads), I won't read it from a site such as mangadex or any other 3rd party. Even if a fan scanslator is further in the series than the official. I try to respect authors that much at least. Webtoons is the biggest example of this, I avoid reading any of their content 3rd party, but webtoons isn't the only one. I figure if they're going to give us a "free" outlet anyway, there's little to no reason not to take it up. That said, the one exception I'll have is if the official is just awful with the translation/localization. I'll go give the official link a click if I remember as well, but I'll be reading the fan scans if they're just objectively better.

Otherwise, while I don't typically buy the manga themselves, I do buy other merchandise related to the series I enjoy (Tshirts, keychains, art books, etc). I'm poor af, so I will openly admit I'm mooching off pirates and reading content I don't deserve, but, forgive me. This is one of the only "hobbies" my crippling depression hasn't sapped all the joy out of
yet
. I support when I can.

I check manga out from the library. My local library in the Pacific Northwest in North America will deliver books to people who are homebound due to severe illness, so I've been getting boxes from them for years, mostly manga with some anime and a few other books. Even if I read them online first, I might read the official translation and even if I don't at least I'm keeping the demand there.

I only read things here I wouldn't understand in Japanese or Chinese. Generally, once localization comes out in Korean I buy it. I generally ignore English localization unless there's title that I know that's not gonna come out (a lot of Tezuka titles, for instance).

For LN and manga combined I spend about $200 USD a month.

I rarely buy Japanese books but when I do it's done via Amazon and/or KinokuniyaNYC. I have bought books for my groups for scanlations in the past as well.

I rarely click links that goes to purchase them; it's not that I don't find them useful, I just don't have reason to.

I have to admit, I experienced a very bewildering 5 seconds wondering if someone had managed to hack the announcements sub-forum.

Thanks for giving me a heart attack, @ixlone. :v

I recently binged Fire Force on here (well, the chapters that are available here) and then purchased all available English volumes from Kinokuniya. Was something like $185 USD. But I don't have the funds to buy something that expensive very often.

I buy translated manga in my language, usually ~100-110 € worth of it a month.
Don't really use online resources to buy mangas, but I guess I'll have to start soon because if this goes on there won't be room for me anymore in my apartment :)

I sometimes buy one volume of the raws on bookwalker of series I really liked, if you guys have a link available.

I usually don't even open the copies I bought, I just buy them to support.

Haven't used on-site methods but I do buy physical copies of manga monthly, anywhere from 1-4 volumes per month. I recently switched back to Amazon to buying it so I suppose I could try to remember to use on-site referral links to throw some support.

Personally I only buy English releases so that I can read them. There are some series I would consider buying the Japanese version for that do not have an English release but I do not have the spare money for something I cannot read (yet?)

It will be easier if you write a survey for me to answer.
I only bought physical copies of manga back in Asia. Manga in Canada or on Amazon is too expensive to buy.
But I will love to support this site by clicking on some non obstructing ads.

I only buy some titles that I like, and ofc translated in my mother language at local bookstore. Well English translation also acceptable, but it's nowhere to be found, so that's that

I rarely follow the links to buy manga but have made an effort to support my very most favorite mangaka. We've run out of room for physical copies, so I've put off much purchasing until we have more room. My priority is nicely done hardcovers and omnibus. My husband buys a fair amount of digital copies of manga (gift cards to book stores thanks to credit card rewards are awesome).

Yes I follow the links. especially ebooks japan.
I usually buy japanese digital raws of magazines, but also bought a few manga when I was in Japan.
I can read them. (Understanding is on a different level though :p) and I use them to practice my broken Japanese. :)

Most people who read books and manga online don't have the money to support doing so normally. For many of us, it's all we can do to keep the lights on and internet running.

I almost never import manga that I've read scanlated, because for some reason when I do I never feel like rereading them (manga is such good reading practice for a Japanese learner, so it's a waste).
That said, I order ones I've only read on Nicomanga or etc all the time, from Amazon.co.jp, Mangaoh, Melonbooks etc.
