I feel like the king isn't just letting this happen and he's been doing stuff in the background and it will all be revealed in the next chapter. We don't know for sure yet that the king has done nothing, he's just done nothing that the characters know of.

If the king really has done nothing then yeah he's a shitty father.

Aside from the question of what the king's been doing, it feels real shitty for Amelia (prince's fiance) if she's been told about the whole Caroline situation + the royal family's (apparently) not doing anything about it.

I'm kind of hoping for the reveal to be that the king's been told about it and that they actually did stop the prince from eating any more cookies, but it turns out that the prince is just cheating of his own volition. That way, this happening isn't a case of Amelia having a good relationship ruined by poison/Caroline, it's more a case of the poison revealing that it was a shitty relationship and she should be glad to be out of it. Then the king can remove the prince from the line of succession for being an idiot, or something.

Condemnation Event is really face-slapping scene that I can't get tired of. Nowadays it's always the 'twist' one (which not so twist anymore but whatever hehe).

Despite the web/novel being so 'light' novel, kinda flat, imo, it still interesting enough. I applaud the comic artist that successfully bring the story quite enjoyable.

I also love how despite the male love targets being the victim, the author didn't made them 'forgiven' so easily. If I'm not wrong, Amelia is still queen candidate and will be engaged to the new crown prince, the 2nd prince. The fact that Caroline's 'father' hinted as the true mindmaster is kind of new; Usually original heroine move by herself being delusional as she was.
