Nope. the translation is correct. The code is aimed for the swordsman. The swordsman needs the king of illusion to follow him in order to remove the illusion(open the door), so technically the king of illusion only acts as the key for the door. As for why kohaku "feels unworthy", it's because he's a "king" that follows the master swordsman's order
