We could get a better reconciliation between Kairi and her childhood friends once she feels at peace with herself for being in love (and the friends show some actual maturity because the pretty girl has no fault in the other's crush being shallow), we could get her older brother being an ally (he's a player, but hey, at least he supports LGBT rights), Hikaru's mother meeting the girlfriend (archnemesis) and them having a cool girl staring contest, the school friend being a supporter of the couple and not being in such deep denial that these bitches gay... It could have gone for two volumes, in my opinion.

In the end, this will be a story with too much waisted potential. The author managed to create a lot of context from the oneshot for it to end in 8 chapters.
