bruh no way author really stopped the LN mid anime release? I honestly kind of liked the anime and didn't realise that the 12th episode was the end of it... throught there was gonna be a second season about their relationship.

I am helle disapointed in the ending of both the anime and manga now though

Fuck… this is one of my favourite concepts as a manga. I loved loved loved those duel perspective scenes early on.

I’d rate the first half of this manga 9/10, but that ending man… hearing the anime is the cause really burns me too because I had some faint hope they could save it

It's been more than a year and a half since V8 was released and a little more than a year since the last WN update. I normally don't buy into rumors, but this one looks legit.

Kind of disappointed that the MMC and FMC are seemingly falling in love, and likely would get together.
Honestly, the direction I was hoping this would go is that MMC would learn to move on from FMC and love himself again and gain back his confidence; while FMC will learn that she DID like MMC and learn not to expect people to wait on you forever, not take people for granted, and to properly understand her own feelings.

Overall it seems to tread the same ground as any other school romance, except the main couple has already had a faux breakup.

I will say, in the portion that was written with an eye toward a ninth volume, Aika regressed quite a bit after hearing a rather gory description of the scene with Claumaty from the perp herself and grew cold to Wataru again. We don't have a POV chapter for her in that period, so it's impossible to tell whether she was truly distancing herself from him out of disgust or was simply traumatized by the notion that he would risk his life so easily and leave her behind without a care.
