Ya know, If you wanted to ramp up the drama, you wouldn't have "near misses" in terms of other girls going for MC, you'd have a clear rival to stoke the FMC's jealousy.. well.. I'm mean thats already happening with the dude just existing with other women on the planet, but I'd feel it would be more narratively sound than having FMC being a jealous psycho just because he talks to other people.

This story is overall inconsistent like that. This might be one of the only romcoms with an absolutely irredeemable FMC to date. %95 of time, i always see people calling for MC to date literally anyone else (manga, anime and LN readers alike)

At least if there was some self retrospect where she feels bad about it, it'd be different. But she doesn't, and doesn't even seem to see a problem.

Not only that. Everyone else seem upset as well lol since all of them ask him why he is not stalking her anymore like it is a good thing. Sister, best friend of the girl, classmates. Everyone. Like being hang up on same girl for 2 years straight is an healthy thing to do.
And best friend (along with Aika) actually gets angry as well when he talks with literally any other female (just like this chapter when they first come up to him).

Lots of the questions here would be easily answered by the LN. Even those versions are hard to read from a RL perspective, but you get sort of a better sense of the MC's convoluted thinking.

This. I don’t even consider aika to be a tsundere, just an attention whore gone mad because her simp guy is backing off. Real tsunderes died when everybody tried to copy taiga in an attempt to make tsunderes popular and likeable in a forced way.
